Wrangler and Wrangler 4xe Performance
Gas-powered Wrangler models have three engine options for customers to consider:
- Standard 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine (Up to 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque)
- Available 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 engine (Up to 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque)
- Available 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 engine (Up to 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque)
The Wrangler 4xe adds two electric motors to the turbocharged 2.0-liter I4 engine. This plug-in hybrid powertrain produces up to 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The Wrangler 4xe has a driving range of about 370 miles with a fully charged battery and a full tank of gas, and can drive up to 21 miles using only electric power.
Gas-powered Wrangler models come standard with a six-speed manual transmission, while an eight-speed automatic transmission is available; the Wrangler 4xe comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All Wrangler and Wrangler 4xe models come standard with four-wheel drive.
Wrangler & Wrangler 4xe Design
The Wrangler comes with both two-door and four-door models. Two-door models have a soft-top roof, four seats, a passenger volume of 104 cubic feet, and a maximum available cargo volume of 31.7 cubic feet. Four-door models offer the choice between a hardtop and soft-top, five seats, a passenger volume of 104 cubic feet, and a maximum interior cargo volume of 72.4 cubic feet. The Wrangler 4xe only comes with a four-door design.
All Wrangler models offer the excitement of open-air driving. With removable doors, removable and retractable roof options, and a fold-down windshield, any Wrangler you drive can let you get the most out of the outdoors. Every Wrangler comes standard with an updated infotainment system that includes a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. Standard Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® make it easy to connect your smartphone to the infotainment system, giving you access to playlists, podcasts, and hands-free messaging and calls. A seven-inch digital gauge cluster is available for the regular Wrangler and standard with the Wrangler 4xe. The base Wrangler comes standard with manual air conditioning, while the Wrangler 4xe comes standard with automatic climate control.
Forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are standard for the Wrangler 4xe, and are featured on every Wrangler model except the base-tier gas-powered Wrangler Sport. Additional available safety features for the Wrangler and Wrangler 4xe include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Charging Your Wrangler 4xe
