Tire maintenance and replacement is an essential part of car ownership, and our Tire Center offers a one-stop shop for all your tire needs. You can purchase tires and let our factory-trained technicians handle the replacement at one convenient location. Tire rotations and alignments are also an important part of tire maintenance as it ensures your tires don't wear unevenly and shorten the lifespan of your tires.
How Long Do Tires Last?
You can expect tires to last a few years with good maintenance and driving conditions. Many factors can cause your tires to wear faster, like poor road conditions or extreme weather. It's important to note the types of tires you have on your vehicle, the conditions they are suited for, and your personal driving habits. Some tires last longer than others. You can check your owner's manual for the factory recommendation, ensuring optimum performance when driving your vehicle. Since your vehicle's tires are in constant contact with the road, it's important always to be aware of your tires' condition, ensuring optimum safety and performance.
When Should You Get New Tires?
Tire checks are a part of routine maintenance, and you should always do a quick visual inspection anytime you get behind the wheel. Some signs you can look for that will give you clues when it's time for new tires: visible cracks, bald spots, and excessive wear. You can also listen for excessive tire vibration, road noise, and feel for poor wheel response. Trust your instinct; If your vehicle is not driving as it should, you should do a visual inspection of the tires and contact our service department to do a quick inspection.
How to do the Penny Test to Check Tread Wear
Generally, tire tread should be above 2/32 of an inch. One easy way to check the tread depth is by doing a penny test. Insert a penny upside down into various points on each tire and check to see how much of Lincoln's head is visible. If you can see his whole head, we recommend replacement because it indicates that your tires are very worn. If the difference in tread varies by a lot at different points along the tire, this could indicate uneven wear and you should have our technicians check to see if you need a tire rotation or alignment.
Summer Tires
Summer tires are designed for hot and dry conditions. Temperature fluctuations are common and can affect the pressure in your tire. Summer tires will better withstand extreme fluctuations and provide superior grip and handling in the summertime.

Winter Tires
Winter tires help provide grip in cold weather and when there are extreme ice and snow conditions. Winter tires usually have thicker tread and can get better traction when the roads are slick with ice and slush. They are also manufactured from a softer rubber that works better in winter conditions but will wear down faster in warmer weather. You should have your tires changed over in the warm seasons and avoid driving with winter tires year-round.
All-Season
All-Season tires blend the best features of winter and summer tires that work well in all types of weather, including rain. Many people in moderate climates like ours choose all-season tires for simplicity and because they are typically sufficient to handle our seasonal road conditions.
